CREATOR. JENN LAPRADE

Hello and Welcome to Italy in Your Kitchen

I’m Jenn Laprade, Italian food expert, recipe developer, and the creator of Italy in Your Kitchen. My love for Italian cooking started in my family’s kitchen. I learned from my mother and grandmother, who passed down handwritten recipe cards that are now family treasures. I’ve spent more than two decades building on those traditions by writing and testing my own recipes, cooking nearly every day for my family, and learning through hands-on experience.

Over the years, I’ve taken cooking classes across Italy. I’ve learned to make homemade pizza and gelato in Naples, crafted handmade pastas in the homes of local nonnas, and spent a day cooking at the Anna Tasca Lanza school in Sicily, where we focused on seasonal ingredients and traditional Sicilian recipes. The school is just a town over from where my family is from, which made the experience especially meaningful.

Today, I share simple, seasonal Italian recipes that honor those roots while making them accessible for home cooks. My goal is to help you feel confident in the kitchen by using clean, wholesome ingredients and time-honored Italian methods that fit into everyday life.
Whether you’re looking for a weeknight pasta or a holiday dish to pass down through generations, I hope Italy in Your Kitchen inspires you to slow down, gather with loved ones, and bring a little bit of Italy into your home.

You can find me on Instagram and Pinterest @italyinyourkitchen. If you try a recipe, I’d truly love it if you left a comment and rating on the blog—it means a lot to hear how you’re enjoying them.
